Thank You

This is a thank you card I made for my sister and her family for inviting me to join them for a little weekend get away.

We went to Lancaster, Pa and stayed on a working dairy farm (no we didn't have to actually work). They have a guest house they rent out. Here is a link to their site http://www.meadowviewkfarm.com/. This is the third time I've been there and just love it. If you are looking for a little R & R, I would recommend it. The family that owns the farm is just wonderful. You have full access to the farm, you can watch them milk the cows and you can have a hand at it if you wish. They have a little chicken coop where you can collect fresh eggs. They have little calfs that you can help feed. This is a great place to take the little ones. My nephews just love going to "The Farm". Here are a few pics of our trip.

These are my two nephews feeding the calves.

This is farmer Barry taking the boys for a ride.

These next pics were takin first thing in the morning from the front porch. Notice in the second photo the amish buggy. I think they were all heading off to church cause there were quite a few buggies passing by that morning. In the third photo, off to the right is one of their barns.

This place is off the beaten path, but if you're looking for more to do you can go into the city where there are pletty of things to do there.

  1. It's a beautiful card, abd the photos are spectacular! Looks like it was a lot of fun!!

  2. Very pretty card! I just love how Dawn's sentiments go so well with so many different cards. That embellishment is gorgeous! Looks like you all had a lot of fun on your trip. And that tractor ride looks like a lot of fun for you kids! :>

  3. Mmmmm gorgeous and simple card - I like it alot! (I'm always impressed by gals who can do simple well - that's still a challenge for me!) Thanks for the kind comment on my blog about PTI organizing - I love my binder and I lOVE my IKEA CD holders - I have a 2nd one with all my nesties (they are also stored in CD cases on magnetic sheets. so they look nice but are at my fingertips. Have a great weekend.
