I have been spending alot of time creating 3D projects and gifts and it seems like forever since I made a card. Hopefully over the next few weeks I'll be sharing some of my creations. It seems like I just don't have the time to blog as much as I would like but I'm going to give it the old college try.
Here is a project I just finished making for my sister. She showed me a photo of something similar that she really liked and I thought to myself, "I can make that". I'll be giving it to her tomorrow.
Each panel measures 4" x 4" and is made with rustic cream cardstock. The total length of the banner is about 40" without the tails at each end for hanging.
The letters were created on my computer. I was able to get four letters per 81/2" x 11" piece of cardstock.
I used Fancy Flourishes set stamping the images with Ranger Distress Ink in Brushed Corduroy. All the edges are distressed as well.
I punches holes in the top corners of all the panels and ran brown ribbon (from my stash) through all the holes securing the ribbon on the backside with some scor tape.
I thought my sister would need something to package her banner in for storage so I made a little box to go with the banner.
The box measures 5" x 5" and is made from kraft cardstock. The patterned paper I used is from my stash, I'm sorry but I have know idea would made it. I've had it for awhile and there was no marking on it. The label on the top was made from a PTI die, the sentiment is from First Fruits and the images from Vintage Labels.
I just simply added some kraft tissue paper inside and there you have a nice little gift. So when she sees the box tucked away she'll know what's inside.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
